RoughCut Knives commonly works with steels such as [1095 / 80CrV2 / AEB-L / CPM steels], chosen for their reliability, toughness, and edge performance. Each blade is heat treated to suit its purpose, ensuring consistent cutting performance and long-term durability.
RoughCut Knives’ offers diverse range of handmade fixed-blade knives built for specific tasks and real-world use. On the outdoor side you’ll find small “Bird-n-Trout” knives ideal for delicate hunting chores, lightweight camp and bushcraft knives made for trail use and camp tasks, and classic hunting knives with beefier blades and ergonomic handles for field processing. There are also larger wilderness survival knives designed for tougher jobs and extended trips. Across these styles, blade steels include high-performance options like AEB-L stainless, CPM-Magnacut, CPM-S35VN, O1 tool steel, and 14C28N, and handle materials range from stabilized woods and micarta to Me-Tek and G10 for grip and durability!
